This is my annual tribute to Balloon Fiesta, held in Albuquerque New Mexico. I call these pieces my "Love Letters to new Mexico" because they express all the things I feel living here in the Land of Enchantment. Like all places where human beings dwell, yes, we have our problems. But learning to look at the beauty that surrounds us helps to keep us grounded and to remind us that it is a blessing to be alive and living in the Land of Mañana!

In this painting, Frida Kahlo (la muerta) is riding shotgun in a flowered love bug while her monitos (little monkeys) drive and lead the way. On the roof rack she has her annual stash of New Mexico gold, red chile! She is surrounded by sugar skull hot air balloons, the beautiful Sandia mountains and the colors of our extraordinary New Mexico sunsets.

These 11x14 prints are professionally printed on semi-gloss cardstock. These will fit easily into any store-bought 11x14 frame but since they are on cardstock, they need not be framed and can simply be posted on a wall.

Hand signed on the front.

Each print comes individually wrapped to protect.
