Gosh how I love making these elaborate, chandelier style necklaces!
Created using beautiful pale lavender glass drops and spiked, sharp (not sharp, just sharp looking!) drops that are beaded on to a bold, antique bronze ball chain necklace. Antique bronze coin pendant with a beautiful thistle engraving.
Lately I have been digging on creating a talisman type of jewelry featuring sharp looking charms to ward off harmful intent, which is what the spiked charms represent. A warning to stay away. A "don't touch me!" message to anyone who would think to disturb your peace.
One of the reasons I love using a ball chain necklace as the base is that there is less chance of the beads tangling. They fall right into place and hang nicely against the skin. These pieces are definitely showstoppers!
