She collects the bones to sew into her dress. She carries the weight of sadness from the murdered innocents while rich old men grow even richer in an endless war of ego and greed.

This original painting is a detailed piece that took many hours. It is created using metallic acrylic paint on an 11x14 canvas board. I paint many subjects in my artwork, but my political works are always the most raw and passionate. My Guardian is dark, but yes, she is very political. She sees the waste of life in man-made wars. These works are my way to express extreme emotions in a somewhat healthy way and to connect with other people who feel the frustration and the fear and the anger that has come from a society that has been complicit with crimes against women for too long.
