Fashion has always been intertwined with politics. Politics affect everything in our lives from our healthcare to our spiritual beliefs, and even the language we choose to speak. This country is on the fast trek to an authoritarian government with "leaders" that want to control every aspect of our lives. It's hard not to feel helpless when it feels like everything is spiraling out of control. But you know what we can do? We can be the thorn in their sides or here in New Mexico, the goatshead in their bare feet! We can monkeywrench. Little acts of defiance and disruption are truly "good trouble."

This is my first batch of these earrings, but I will be making more along with necklaces that will be available in La Tiendita next month!

I have chosen to make a larger size earring image so that they are more visible and eye-catching. For reference, the card that they are mounted on is a business card size and measures 3-1/2" x 2" which will give you some idea on the size of these earrings.

As always, they are incredibly lightweight with pretty, dangling charms.
