SOLDADERAS! ~ Mujer de Valor ~ La Soldadera

My original Soldadera painting is created using metallic acrylic paints on an 8x10 canvas board.

Soldaderas were not always recognized as the brave women of valor as they are today. They followed the armies and cared and tended to everyone and often fought alongside the soldiers during the Mexican Revolution. Most of the were ignored when the war was over and while the soldiers often received monetary compensation for their service to their country, the Soldaderas did not.

Framed in a lovely wood frame that measures 12x14.
