Dia de Los Muertos is just around the corner Amigas and I'm already feeling those vibes! Xolito dogs and Marigolds fill my senses and for the first time ever, I will be in Mexico this year to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos! Which also unfortunately means that I am not sure if I will be able to get any new originals completed for Day of the Dead so I'm working on them now!
This painting is a tribute to our Mama's everywhere and for those of us who were blessed enough to have a mother who protected us and watched over us always.
This piece is painted in metallic acrylic paints and canvas board. I admit I'm not too crazy about the frame since it is resin and I usually prefer wood, but good frames are extremely expensive these days so I figured that I would just customize, and hand paint the frame to keep this original affordable and totally unique. This frame is a tabletop frame, but I will add a hanger on the back in case you'd prefer to display on the wall.
